Randy Brown is a national author, speaker, and coach on the topics of adversity, networking, leadership, and teambuilding. His book, Rebound Forward--Rebound from Life's Most Devastating Losses and Stay in the Game, highlights his rise as a college basketball coach as well as failure, adversity, and tragedy creating life-altering obstacles. His career is often called "Big Time to Prison Time" due to the adversity he encountered which ended his long and successful coaching career. He reached the highest level in NCAA men's college basketball becoming a Division I head coach, competing in the NCAA tournament five times, winning the Big 12 Conference Title in back-to-back years and advancing to the 2000 Elite Eight. He coached 12 NBA players during his career. He is a role model for resilience in the face of life’s most devastating circumstances. He delivers an inspiring and memorable one-two punch to audiences around the country. Randy's Elite Coach Mentoring is the #1 mentoring program in the country and has ushered over 100 coaches into college jobs. He holds a BA degree in Education from the University of Iowa and a MA degree in Educational Administration from the University of Arizona. Randy is an avid fisherman, golfer, and music fanatic. His many hobbies include work as a concert stagehand for dozens of national acts. He has two daughters and lives in Ames, Iowa.
